Thank you, sir. [ And, look! She's holding his hand again! ] Which one first?

[Oh well that's nice : )] Okay, so, something else about me you might not know... I uh, I get motion sick sometimes. And claustrophobic.

...but I still wanna try that roller coaster.

[ BRO. Blinking, she stares up at him before she nods her head. ]

Okay, we'll go on one that's not in a small box, right? And I can hold your hand.

Sounds good. It should be fine, usually I can tell when it's gonna be bad. [And then sometimes not. So lets get on this roller coaster! Three cheers for impulsive decision making]

You should tell me if it happens. [ But this one doesn't seem too bad... ] And don't let go of me, okay.

I still got you. [He's going to take that as a standing rule for this date; no letting go.

He was fine on the roller coasters at Gold Saucer, but he hadn't ridden any of them since remembering his past so...yeah, he's nervous. The attendants come by to check their harnesses (which is kind of laughable, he'd be able to get out and he'd be fine even if he fell) and it's those big ones that come down over the chest and just lock you in, so he doesn't quite like that. But that's the price he has to pay to have an open-air coaster, apparently.

He still squeezes Aerith's hand a little bit.] We should take a picture of ourselves in the middle of the ride, [he suggests, to distract himself. That might be cool.]

[ Aerith doesn't mind them coming and checking hers - she's already died once, thank you, she's no SOLDIER - but she turns to look at Cloud as they go through and check everyone else, her eyes drinking him in before she hums quietly, leaning close - or, rather, as close as she can get with the barriers between them. ]

Do you think your arms can reach?

[ It might be awkward, but she bets Cloud can do it if he tries hard enough... And he doesn't drop his device. ]

[Her head leans closer and he relaxes a little bit more, so he gets that comm out to check, holds it up-] Yeah we're good. I'll get us when we're upside-down. [Also if he has a goal to focus on, that'll help.]

[ Aerith beams even when there's no chance of a photo being taken. ]

Great! Don't drop it.

Who do you think I am? I won't dr- [ALMOST DROPS but catches] ...see? Won't drop it.

[ um.

You be careful, [Cloud shoots back as the ride starts up, though he does take hold of her hand again.]

[ Aerith can't reply because, hey, it's a rollercoaster and she's being flung through the air. She doesn't let go of Cloud's hand, though, and squeezes it hard as they go through loops and winds and all sorts of other things -- but she does make sure to smile any time they're upside down, just in case. ]

[And it's...okay, it's not awesome, but he's got stuff to focus on and he actually just watches Aerith's face mostly, instead of the scenery flashing by and that makes it not nearly as bad. He's definitely not gonna throw up, which is a sight better than he thought it was gonna be.

And once they approach another loop he gets his comm up and- drops it, but those SOLDIER reflexes mean he grabs it when they loop back down, somehow, and someone behind them yells something which could be alien for either 'NICE CATCH' or 'YOU'RE A DUMBASS' but who cares? Cloud got the photo (he thinks).

The cars pull back into the track housing and while Cloud can't get that harness off fast enough (almost breaks it before the latch releases, so thank goodness he didn't have to pay for that), he doesn't immediately make for the trash can. Instead he's just checking his photos, hanging onto Aerith's hand as they make it through the bustle of the exiting crowd, a little green but not much worse for wear.] I think I got it...

[ For the most part Aerith can't do much more than pay attention to Cloud - the ride is fun, sure, but nothing is quite like watching someone you care about go through something as exciting as a rollercoaster, and he kept looking at her which made her want to smile at him twice as much. She laughs when he drops the phone but at least he picks it up again, and that's something to be envious of; his reflexes are incredible.

Now, though - now they're off and Aerith is tugging him along and away from all the other people, finding a bench for the two of them to settle down on while he gets his bearings. She doesn't comment on it, but she's careful all the same, lifting her arms up and stretching as soon as she's sat. ]

That was fun. [ And, then, she's leaning over, practically draping herself over one side of Cloud as she looks at his phone. ] You'll send me it, won't you?

[She takes such good care of him he hardly notices, though he relaxes a lot more once it's just the two of them again, practically cuddling on the bench. Like always she smells like earth and rain and flowers, and Cloud can't help but lean into her as he holds his comm over for her to take a look. His fingertip is over a corner but they're both there in it, not perfectly centered but it's definitely them.] Sure, look at that. That's a good one, you can see the track going up behind our heads.

[ She beams, staring down at the photograph with wide eyes, excited and thrilled all at once. She doesn't quite take the phone from Cloud's hand but she comes close to it, her happiness a little infectious. ]

You did it! I want to make it the picture on my phone.

You mean the background? [Takes his comm back to send it to her with a couple swipes, still cuddled up to her side.]

Yes. I want to see your face whenever I open it. [ Because why not? Her phone dings and she brightens, messing around with it as she leans against him. ]

looks away and tries not to let his face burn off] ...guess I'll just do the same thing.

Hmm.

[ Leaning up, she watches, almost absently. ]

We can take more, too.

[Hmm indeed.

Cloud pulls back a little to get a good luck at her face, nudging her gently until she looks up and meets his eyes.]

Yeah, [he tells her, quiet but firm. He can't tell her that he has nothing to go back to, but he can tell her that he won't leave without her. Another time, maybe.] We can take as many as you want. Until you're sick of looking at our faces.

[ Aerith blinks, staring at him for a moment, before her expression softens and she smiles, her hand lifting to brush hair out of his eyes. Pesky. ]

Then I want one hundred photos, okay?

Is that all? [honey, that's a shitton of photos,]

I'm going to count so we don't forget. This is number one.

[ Entertain me babe. ]
