[And there goes Aerith, handling it with as much grace as she ever does. Cloud's cheeks go pink, but he just holds out a hand for her to take. He promised you some hand-holding, didn't he?]
[Honestly, it's a good thing they're holding hands; the surface is so busy it's like trying to wade through six Midgars all at once. Cloud figured out the route to the nearest theme park before picking Aerith up, but it's still confusing.]
Geez, look at all these people...I hope we don't spend the whole time waiting in lines.
What goes around comes around. [Cloud that's a horrible pun
He'll spin her carefully though, considering the crowds, until she decides to stop herself and look. There are all kinds of rides; thrill rides, things like carousels, ferris wheels, rollercoasters; there's one right that's obviously based off that stupid Floot Loops brand where you bump into other people.]
[ But she's filled with happiness even as they turn together, and when she opens her eyes they land on the carousel, soft, gentle music playing over some speakers. ]
We can do a rollercoaster next, but we have to save the ferris wheel for last.
[ It's just like their date before, but this time it's real and it means something. When she holds onto Cloud's hand it's like she's telling the entire world that they're together, and it makes her feel as though she might explode. ]
[Kinda glad she suggested the ferris wheel last, since he was too embarrassed to.] Sure, we're holding hands, aren't we? Look, there's ones that are like benches on there. We can sit on one of those.
Alright. [ Aerith doesn't really know how to describe what she's feeling, but she knows it's happiness - contentment, knowing that she can stand here, like this, and nothing can go wrong. There's no other obligation in the entire world other than being here, holding onto one another just like this. ] Don't let go.
I won't, [Cloud murmurs, maybe a little more seriously than the situation calls for, but he can't help giving her hand a gentle squeeze before they're shuffled through the gate and up to the carousel. They have to hurry to get one of the benches before another couple, but Cloud definitely jogs and wraps an arm around Aerith's waist to lift her right up onto the platform so she can claim the bench, hauling himself up after her. HAHA they were faster]
[ Aerith has no idea what's going on, at least initially, but as soon as she's lifted up and in place she realises why Cloud was rushing them - and she laughs, shifting to lean against him, hand over her mouth. ]
You told me that I can't let go. [Trying to hold hands on different horses would've been difficult, after all. So Cloud settles onto the bench right beside her, stretching his free arm over the back.] Besides, with this moving and us just sitting here, it's kind of funny...like our own Junon parade, right? [Hums the beginning of that fucking ANNOYING fanfare Rufus had looping during the whole damn thing.]
You're right! [ And Aerith just settles against him, tucked against his side, because his arm is right there and it feels like the most natural thing to do in the entire world, even when Cloud starts being utterly ridiculous. ] I remember the parade! [ She laughs and sits up, as if she's the President and they're on a parade just for her. ] You'd better not miss a step!
That drill sergeant was so mad at me...geez. [He was a Dick] Did you see Rufus in it? He was too far back for me to see but Tifa said his wave looked like he was shooing away flies.
I mean, I doubt he actually wanted to be there. With how quick he jumped on that ship after it finished; we barely had time to stock up on potions. [Cloud lifts his hand and mimics Rufus's bored little wave.] 'Hmph. Peons.'
Peons? [ All she seems to do around Cloud is laugh and giggle, but it seems right. That's what you do on dates, isn't it? You have fun? ] That was a good impression, it was almost scary.
[He's not even trying to be funny half the time, but Aerith's laugh is adorable so he's not about to complain.] Ugh, don't say that. I just felt a chill go up my spine.
So...this is actually more like our first date, instead of a second. Right? [Is he coming off as smooth? Because he's more like very insecure and nervous but covering that up with a thin sheen of aloofness.]

Let's go, then, shall we?

[ Aerith does lean a little closer, though, frowning at the masses of people before she shakes her head. ]
What did you want to try first?

But Cloud still pulls her over and at least the line for this one is short; they're probably in about the second group.]
